Caring.com Again Awards “Caring Star” to Two Era Living Communities

Era Living News, Why Senior Living?

We are very proud to announce the selection of University House Issaquah and Ida Culver House Broadview as “Caring Star” recipients for 2024!

Caring.com, the nation’s top resource for trustworthy senior care ratings and honest reviews, presents this distinguished award each year to a small percentage of communities. In fact, only four Caring Stars were awarded in all of King County this year. (Notably, there is no application process or fee required for participation, and winners are not obligated to be affiliated with Caring.com or to pay for licensing the award.)

The Caring Star is a testament to the commitment and dedication of our exceptional team members,” said Nisan Harel, Era Living’s Chief Operating Officer. “This high level of compassion, professionalism, and excellence ensures that every resident feels valued, supported, and at home. I am immensely proud of what our communities have achieved, and these awards serve as a reminder of the positive impact we make in the daily lives of our residents and their loved ones.

University House Issaquah has again qualified for a “Caring Super Star,” an award only granted to multiple-year winners (with previous wins in 2019, 2022, and 2023). Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, residents enjoy the small-town charm of Issaquah and inspiring views of nature, while still close to the bustling city centers of Seattle and Bellevue.

This year marks the second “Caring Star” for Ida Culver House Broadview, our premiere senior living community in North Seattle known for its breathtaking views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, elegant décor, exquisitely-landscaped gardens, a rejuvenating pool, and restaurant-quality dining.

These were the qualifications met for our 2024 “Caring Stars” for service excellence:

  • Fifteen or more published reviews, thoroughly audited for authenticity
  • Average rating of 4.5 stars or higher
  • Four or more reviews from October 15, 2022, through October 15, 2023, with at least one 5-star review from 2023
  • Every 1- and 2-star review responded to
  • External validation of licensing and inspection reports

We thank the many enthusiastic residents, family members, and friends who shared their opinions and are thus helping other seniors and their families navigate the complexities of senior care options. We will continue to advance our mission: to respect and honor older adults by enhancing the quality of their lives.

Here is the testimonial of a resident who found the right senior living solution at University House Issaquah:

If I need help, someone is there; if I have a question, several will be able to answer it; if I have a concern, it is addressed immediately. This is an established senior facility, committed to service. All of the kinks, so to speak, have been worked out. Nothing is left to chance. Our safety and compassionate care is beyond reproach. Accommodation is the rule of each and every day. The staff is incredible. Residents are addressed by name and we are made to feel valued and important. Every staff member is dedicated to meeting our day to day needs… –mhcs (Read more on Caring.com)
