Senior independent and assisted living
One look around the iconic Ida Culver House Ravenna, and there’s a good chance you will see some familiar faces. Our retirement community includes many local residents who have a deep connection to the neighborhood’s inspiring heritage. Our community’s name carries forth the legacy of its pioneer, Ms. Ida Culver, who originally created a home for retired teachers. Today, Ida Culver House is home to residents of varied backgrounds and locales.
Set in the heart of Ravenna, residents enjoy the charming neighborhood’s tree-lined streets and the lovely shops and cafés. Warmth and energy set the tone at Ida Culver House, where staff and residents feel like family. Life here is all about enjoying comfort and peace of mind in a quaint, well-established Seattle neighborhood.
Exciting news: reimagining Ida Culver House Ravenna
Our building was first built in 1949, and many of us know and love the charm of an older building with a legacy in the neighborhood. There are also a number of challenges associated with an aging building, and some of these challenges have become more profound as a result of the pandemic. We are exploring a range of possibilities to reimagine Ida Culver House Ravenna so that we can continue to be a place we can serve seniors for decades to come. Pending approvals, which we expect would occur by early 2023, we hope to begin a redevelopment project.
In the meantime, we are still welcoming new residents into the community. Some of our new residents view this as an opportunity to test out senior living or relocating to Seattle. Others are looking for a short-term respite stay or a temporary or longer term solution to a problematic living situation. We are offering robust transition resources for those residents who are still living with us when we get closer to construction. Also, residents will be given priority in the new building when it is complete. Learn more by contacting us today.
