This workshop, with David Troxel, covers key areas of consideration related to dementia care including safety issues, legal and financial concerns, successful use of community-based services, and a discussion about the benefits of residential memory care programs. Caregivers will leave the workshop with a “toolkit” of techniques and ideas to help them approach this challenging task with greater success and confidence.

Estate planning doesn’t have to be confusing. At this presentation we will explain common estate planning terminology and answer the following questions:
• What legal documents should everyone have?
• What legal planning can I do to ensure my wishes are carried out during my lifetime?
• Are there ways to minimize or avoid family conflict and stress after my death?
